Double Easthaven

Double Easthaven takes the classic Easthaven formula and expands it into a larger two-deck challenge. With 104 cards spread across eight tableau columns, every move matters as new stock deals can quickly change the shape of the board. The goal is to build all eight foundations from Ace to King while uncovering and organizing the tableau.

Game Layout

The game starts with eight tableau columns, each containing three cards. Two cards begin face-down while the top card remains face-up, giving you 24 starting cards to work with. The remaining 80 cards form the stock pile, which is dealt in ten batches of eight cards. There are also eight foundation slots, with two foundations for each suit. Each foundation must be built upward in the same suit from Ace through King.

How To Play

  • Your main job is to create useful descending sequences on the tableau while exposing as many hidden cards as possible. Cards must be arranged in alternating colors, such as placing a red 7 on a black 8.
  • You can move individual cards or complete valid sequences between tableau columns. Once a column becomes empty, you can use the open space for any single card or valid sequence, giving you extra room to reorganize the board.
  • The stock works differently from a traditional one-card draw. Each time you activate it, one face-up card is added to the bottom of every tableau column at once. With eight cards arriving together, timing each stock deal becomes an important part of your strategy.

Smart Moves Win Games

A new stock row can help you find useful cards, but it can also cover cards you need later. Before dealing again, make the most of the moves already available on the tableau.

  • Clear hidden cards early: Focus on revealing the 16 face-down cards so more options become available.
  • Use empty columns wisely: Open spaces can give you room to rearrange difficult sequences.
  • Watch important cards: Move key foundation cards or useful builders before another stock row buries them.
  • Delay new deals: Explore every worthwhile tableau move before adding another batch of eight cards.

Why Double Easthaven Stands Out

The two-deck format gives Double Easthaven a much larger playing field than a standard single-deck solitaire game. Eight tableau columns receive a fresh card together with every stock deal, so the board keeps evolving throughout the game. Success comes from looking ahead, managing space, and knowing when to make your next stock move.
